Monthly update
Who's buying company data: October 2026
As of October 16, 2026 we list 17 buyers that license internal business records for AI and pay the company themselves. One opened publicly this month, most published ranges sit between about $100K and the low millions, and court-supervised data sales are drawing attention.
New this month
HUMXN opened publicly in October 2026. It prepares company records, licenses them to approved AI buyers and pays the company per license. Its seller page says deals typically start around $250K (its own figure, not an offer).
What the published ranges look like
Most programs that publish a range start at about $100K for an established company. The highest published ceilings this month are $5M (Mode, labelled indicative) and $4M (Handshake AI and Telegraph Lab). Ranges labelled illustrative or indicative are examples, not offers. See all published ranges on one chart: published payout ranges.
Data from closing companies
Records from companies that are closing or in bankruptcy are a growing source. MIT Technology Review reported on October 13 that AI labs are buying data from shut-down startups. Several buyers on this site say they take records from closing or closed companies. In the Spirit Airlines bankruptcy, a court hearing on the sale of the airline's business data to Google is scheduled for November 6, 2026. How we keep this current
Every program is re-checked against its own pages each week, and this update is published monthly. Each buyer profile shows the date it was last checked. Our method: our methodology.
