Buyer profile · Priced after scoping
Halluminate
A Y Combinator-backed research lab that builds AI training environments for finance and consulting work and invites firms to discuss licensing their data and workflows.
Good fit if: You run a finance, private equity or consulting firm with historical deal or client project records you have the right to license.
The facts
Every row is from Halluminate's own pages, checked 2026-10-25. "Not stated" means we did not find it published.
| Type | Priced after scoping: no figure until your records are reviewed |
|---|---|
| What it takes | Company data and workflows (types not itemized on the program page); Per an investor's article: old deal rooms and client project files from finance, consulting and similar knowledge-work firms |
| Who qualifies | No eligibility rules are published. The lab's stated focus is investment banking, private equity and consulting, with plans to expand into nearby fields. Closing or closed firms are not mentioned either way. |
| Company status accepted | operating (closing or closed companies not mentioned) |
| How it pays | unknown — the program page describes the opportunity as a new revenue source but publishes no payment structure. |
| Published range | None published |
| When it pays | Not published |
| Fees to you | Not stated |
| Exclusivity | not stated |
| Data handling | The intake form asks for no files and asks you not to send confidential information. An investor's article (not Halluminate's own page) says licensed data is anonymized and legally cleared before use; who does this and where is not stated. |
How its process works
- Submit a short contact form (name, work email, company, role, website, optional message)
- Halluminate contacts you to learn more and decide whether there is a fit
What to check before you sign
- No payment model, range or timing published
- No eligibility criteria published
- Data handling terms only described in third-party material
- Check client confidentiality agreements before discussing deal-room or client files
Questions to ask Halluminate
- Who signs the agreement with us, and in which state is that company registered?
- When exactly are we paid, and what has to happen first?
- Is the license exclusive? For how long, and in which uses?
- Who de-identifies the records, where, and can we review the result?
- What happens to the copy when the license ends?
More on this in questions to ask a buyer and comparing offers.
What we could not confirm
- An investor's article (Teten / Orange Collective, an investor in Halluminate, July 2026) says buyers may pay 'up to 6 or 7 digits'; this is not on Halluminate's own page, so no range is recorded
- The same article mentions an alternative non-cash arrangement (advisory or product work in exchange for data); not confirmed on Halluminate's site
- Whether closing or closed firms are accepted is not stated
