How to apply to Mercor

Mercor connects to a company's work tools, automatically extracts and de-identifies the workflow data, licenses it to AI labs, and pays the company. You apply on Mercor's own site. Below: who qualifies, what to prepare, and how its process works, from its own pages as of 2026-10-25.

Before you apply

  1. Check you meet Mercor's published rules: no minimum published; accepts operating companies.
  2. List your systems, years of history and who can export each one. The data inventory worksheet helps.
  3. Confirm the records are yours to license and note what must stay out (HR, legal, customer data held under contract, regulated data).
  4. Decide in advance whether you would accept an exclusive license, and for how long.

How it pays

upfront: paid by wire once the anonymized dataset is delivered; amount depends on data volume, tools connected and data depth. Payment timing: Wire on delivery of the anonymized dataset to the buyer, which Mercor says typically happens 2-4 weeks after the agreement is signed.

Questions to ask before you sign

  • Who signs the agreement with us, and in which state is that company registered?
  • When exactly are we paid, and what has to happen first?
  • Is the license exclusive? For how long, and for which uses?
  • Who de-identifies the records, where, and can we review a sample of the result?
  • What happens to the copy when the license ends?
